There exist a number of opportunities for curious and dedicated researchers to join the lab.
If you are graduate student with your own project that fits with the lab’s aims you can apply to STRI’s short term fellowship scheme that typically supports a three-month visit to the lab, with possibility for extension.
If you are a post-doc with your own research questions consider applying to the Smithsonian’s and/or STRI’s excellent post-doctoral fellowship programs.
The Smithsonian’s MarineGEO program typically funds a post-doc each year who we are able to support in the lab. See the MarineGEO website for further details on how to apply.
If you are Panamanian there are sometimes opportunities to receive funding from SENACYT to join the lab.
If you are looking for summer experience be aware that we rarely accept interns in the lab. See STRI’s internship program for opportunities.
